Responsibilities
- Ensure the quality and productivity of the PLC software engineering team.
- Ensure the adherence to all deadlines for project engagements.
- Maintain a high level of morale, team work, and ethics within the team.
- Develop and document all implemented PLC software engineering processes, procedures, and methods.
- Provide work estimate and evaluate risk factors in project engagements.
- Provide detailed reporting for all project engagements.
- Escalate issues which impact the timeline/performance of the team.
- Act as the first point of contact for management for the team.
- Provide mentoring and guidance to the team.
- Identify/support the implementation of training needs for the team.
- Lead peer reviews on all PLC software engineering deliverables and work product.
- Lead team meetings to improve quality/performance/knowledge as needed.
- Lead by example, excelling in PLC development and execution as required.
- Review requirements/test cases for all project engagements.
- Design, create, execute and maintain automated test cases.
- Promote cross training on all products for the team.
- Successful applicants must be willing to travel and work on overseas projects.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Control Engineering or Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in software quality assurance.
- Possess automation lead experience.
- Experience working with testing and commissioning in a senior role.
- Prior experience documenting/presenting processes and methods.
- Experience developing detailed progress/feasibility reports.
- Experience leading automated teams is required.
